Paul Hayton Ground Floor Alterations @ Dunedin Public Libraries

From 28 May – 2 June some alterations take place on the Ground Floor of the City Library. This includes recarpeting, rearranging the layout of furniture and work on the entrance way and under the escalator. The event will be documented on the libraries Flickr account. Continue

Trish Webster Meredith Farkas speaking to Building Academic Library 2.0

This is a video of a keynote address Meredith Farkas gave to a conference at UC Berkeley. It is 70 minutes long but skip the first 13 or so minutes as it is just introductions. rodneylibraries was informed that one of our photos had been selected for inclusion in a schmap guide http://www.schmap.com/company/about_schmap.shtml after lots of deliberation I decided not to accept because it was a photo of the back rooms at the museum. It would be a false representation of what people could see in the library. do I feel bad? yip. It would have been great publicity for our Flickr. Continue

I am the circulation services librarian @ Paraparaumu library and after going to the Biblioblogging presentation @ the Lianza conference I am trying to covince the IT dept. to download free (hello) blogging and Wiki software on to our server. I knew what they would say, and they did: "use the Intranet". However, it's awful. The discussion continues - will keep you posted...

I'm working on the comms plan for LIANZA conference 2008. It's version 3. I hope to be up to versino 100 by conference time. Actually, that may be a tad unrealistic because that means 2 revisions every week. Much too much work. :) Continue
